Meet the Dress

Last night, I dreamed that I was having dinner with Tom Brokaw. I ran into him at the gym so I left wearing a wet towel with a blazer over it. I was hoping he would assume it was a dress given the extreme confidence I was exuding.

Not exactly a nightmare but a little surprising. Not the towel so much but Tom Brokaw? And, wait, me confident?

Como se dice Babewatch?

This just in from the BBC: "The Simpsons has been dropped from morning TV in Venezuela after being deemed unsuitable for children - and has been replaced by Baywatch."

I'm sorry; I must have misread that. Baywatch? Pamela Anderson in a tight, red bathing suit?

Yeah, that's healthy for kids: girls with poor self-images and boys with (insert your own sardonic thought here).

Next, they might want to consider getting rid of the sodas in the school vending machines and offering only light beer.

Self-Esteem

When I first started dating my husband, he asked me to go with him to his friend Mary's wedding. I was so excited. I bought a new dress, necklace and shoes. All 98 lbs. of me were looking good.

When he came to pick me up, he somehow forgot to mention how stunningly beautiful I looked so I tried to force it out of him.

Me: "So, what does it feel like to be dating the best looking girl in town?"

Hubby: "Who told you?!"
